Nano Brows typically last between 6 months to 3 years, depending on many factors including, but not limited to your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. A session is usually required once a year for best results. 

Discomfort is minimal. A topical numbing cream is applied during the procedure to ensure your comfort throughout the session. Most clients say it feels like light scratching or pressure. Loralei's clients often fall asleep during the nano brow application.

Microblading uses a manual blade to create cuts in the skin, while Nano Brows use a machine with a tiny needle to implant pigment with less trauma. Nano Brows are gentler and more precise on the skin, offer longer-lasting results, and are more suitable for oily or sensitive skin. Short Answer: 

You can expect slight redness and scabbing within the first few days. Some clients experience no redness or scabbing, but have some slight skin flaking. Full healing takes about 6 weeks, and the color will settle into a softer, more natural tone over time. North Florida Microblading provides detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing. 

Long Answer: 

• Day 1: Your permanent makeup will be more bright, bold, and exaggerated in appearance than when fully healed. You may have swelling, redness, tenderness, and tightness in the zone treated. This should subside gradually over the next 24 to 36 hours. Cold compresses/ice packs may be helpful.

• Day 2: Your permanent makeup will appear even more bold than on day 1.

• Days 3 through up to Day 14: The zone will begin to peel/flake and picking will be very tempting. Do not pick, rub, or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off the zone. Itchiness is normal and you should not scratch or pat away the itch directly on the zone.

It is important to note that until all of the peeling, flaking, and exfoliation has finished, the skin is considered “open” and the following MUST BE AVOIDED during this time:

• Prolonged UV exposure

• Makeup or ANY other products on or within a finger-width/half-inch of the area

• Swimming in oceans, springs, pools, etc.

• Getting into saunas, steam room, and vigorous intensity exercise/sweating

• Botox Injections (in or around the face), filler Injections (in or around the face), skincare treatments

• Days 15 through Day 28: The skin should be “closed”. It is normal for the color to look too light during this healing phase. It is often referred to as the “Ghosting Phase”. The full color result will show after at least 4 weeks and cannot be evaluated or worked on again until the area is fully healed. 

Nano Brows are great for anyone who wants fuller, more defined brows—especially those with sparse, patchy, or overplucked brows. 

The initial Nano Brow appointment typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours, including consultation, brow mapping, numbing, and the procedure itself. 

The Nano Brow Touch-Up appointment typically takes 2 hours.

Yes! A touch-up session is recommended 4–8 weeks after your first procedure to refine shape, color, and detail. It is not as common, but a 3rd session may be needed to complete your result. Additional color boosts should be scheduled annually to maintain shape, definition, and color.
